Slouch Ankle Boots? Are They In?

I had a pair of these boots when I was in the second grade (I'm talking about in the 80's). Anyway, I was in Macy's the other day and I saw a pair similiar to what I had; it brought back memories! Then a girl was trying them on. The boots looked pretty cute.





Are they "in" for the fall/winter?

They're really cute! If you believe you look good in them, buy them! It doesn't matter what's in style. If you're iffy about this logic, then wear something that's in style with something that's, uh, not in style. Make sense? Start a trend! I always wear cargo shorts and an occasional camo with colorful tanks and even a babydoll once... lol.. People like it.

Reply:Yes, they're still considered "in" but according to Vogue and magazines like that, they're on the way out. Oxford booties are kicking them out.





But if you like them, then by all means -- wear them.

Reply:I ask myself the same questions. Everything in fashion is on a 20-ish year cycle. I see legwarmers, leggings, tie-dyed shirts, you name it. Personally I would not wear slouch boots because they don't have the classic, streamlined look that I have come to appreciate as a 30-something.
