Are rain boots in?

i found a really cute pair of rain boots, but i really don't know if they are "in" this season, not that it matters, i was just wondering.

Are rain boots in?
cute polka dotted ones and stuff like that are where i live :D

i like them, they're adorable!
Reply:Yes! :) with loads of details :D
Reply:What the h.ell, of course rain boots are okay. You *need* them when it rains. Rain boots aren't meant to be trendy fashion accessories.
Reply:They are in if you like them, what you think is all that matters!
Reply:not really anymore thoguh
Reply:yeah. if they're cute.
Reply:They are in when it's raining.

Reply:if they are extremely cute
Reply:If you like them and want to wear them. Why do you care, set trends, don't follow.
Reply:hell no so last year try nice some nice colored flat boots steve madden has nice ones try a gray, light brown, navy blue, or any color you like just not to bright
Reply:oh, ya they're coming in style. especially the ones with the cute patterns on it! i recently got these bur berry patterned ones. they're great when its raining and ,apparently, are the new "UGGs" I read this in a magazine!
Reply:they are if it's raining
Reply:The trend started in late 2005, so I don't think they're still the hot new trend, but they're still selling them everywhere and they're SO much cuter than UGGS (which celebrities still wear).

I can't bring myself to wear them because I SO hated that stinging smile cut they'd leave on my calves when I was a kid.
Reply:yeah ... with skinny jeans and an american apparel hoodie
Reply:its out

read a magazine it always helps me
Reply:in where i live....no
Reply:Ever had your foot wet because you step in a puddle or it was rain too hard. Rain boots protects you and your feet therefore if I was you get the cute boots before they are gone. You want them so forget about what anyone else thinks.

Reply:if u were just wondering you wouldnt ask the question. But they are in. I own a pair, when i wear them i have thousands of haters.
Reply:yes, it is still "in" n its in style!
Reply:sure!

it's spring, wear what YOU want, not what's "inn".

Best Cleats/Boots?

What are the best cleats or boots to get? I would need them in womens or i guess i could wear them in mens. I am looking at the Adidas Predators. I don't want ones that are extremely expensive.

thnx

Best Cleats/Boots?
Well i know puma's are really good and you can some times find those at Sports Authority. Same with the adidasas. Low price good quality.

Good luck
Reply:Companies make a lot of money coming with new cleats named after superstars. I believe a good cleat and a best seller for as long as I can remember is the "Adidas Copa Mundial."
Reply:hey

i would get the new ronaldinho elites but then again expense if a factor...but they r really nice

Dyeing Leather Boots -- Black to Brown?

I have a pair of boots that are a very specific style. However, the only color I was able to get them in is black... and I need them to be brown. Is it possible to use some sort of bleach or something to get the black out enough to dye them brown? Or could they be painted brown?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Dyeing Leather Boots -- Black to Brown?
To effectively re-dye leather, you have to deglaze it, no matter what color you going to-from. You may be able to chemically bleach or fade the black enough to get a brown hue to it, but it will be a very, very deep brown/black. Not a true brown. It's always easier to go light to dark, and harder to go dark to light.

You need to find a leathersmith.
Reply:You will not be able to change the color of the boots - period. Black boots, even if put in bleach, will not be brown, they'll be gray.

Whatever you use to destroy the black will endanger the safety of the boot - eating away important stitching, etc.

The very only way I would suggest trying this is if you're needing them for a one-time thing like maybe a dance act in a competition. You can spray paint them, but they'll never be the same and the paint will crack in a short amount of time and they will be stiff and uncomfortable.
Reply:You cant dye it if its black. You can try to paint them, but Im positive they'll look cruddy. Just stick with black.
Reply:You can't dye anything that is black once it's black it stays black. Your just wasting time and money. Sorry it just won't work
Reply:wrong section:)
Reply:Take them to a good cobbler and they might be able to "paint" them. They won't be able to dye them a lighter colour. It may not end up being the right effect that you are looking for.

Would hoof boots along w/ supplements help harden my mares hooves?

I have a 2yr old filly, whom I just got about a month ago. Our pasture is really muddy due to the unforgiving winter we just had. I have been noticing that she has been really tenderfooted, and the ferrier said she had soft hooves, he said to use iodine, but from what I have read, that doesn't seem to work well for many people. I was wondering if hoof boots along with supplements would be good for her?

Would hoof boots along w/ supplements help harden my mares hooves?
Hoofs are like nails. I read that the cream nail hardener made by the Swiss company Mavala, was based on some cream that women who groomed their horses used on the hoofs. The thing is that they noticed their nails were harder and stronger. I don't know the name of the cream for horses, but a horse care catalog will surely have something along that line. If not, then ask a vet or an experienced trainer or groomer.
Reply:there are a lot of supplements on the market these days which could help, personally i have never tried them, there are treatments which you put in food such as http://horsesupplementsdirect.co.uk/inde... these are said to strengthen feet or there are ointments or creams that you can apply directly to the hoof to harden the hoof . if you dont try you will never know.
Reply:What I would worry about leaving the boots on her is that if her feet arnt dry when you put them on your still going to be in the same situation. Then theres always her getting the mud/water in them herself and just sitting in it all day. The iodine I cant see helping much if you use it them put her right back in the mud.. Which I know you cant do anything about right now! My thought would be if theres any way you could put something down for her to stand on, like a few rubber mats, or putting rock, then dust rock ontop of it, so she could stand in one small area thats atleast not gooshy. If you feel comfortable leaving boots on her though why not atleast try it? Just make sure she couldnt hurt herself or get stuck!
Reply:My 5yr old Thoroughbred had this same problem and I used "Pine Tar" Their is this man who lives above me and that has had horses all his life and I ask him what could I use to make my horses hoofs tougher and he told me to use it and I did and I thought it worked wonders. Here is a link and hope this helps you out!!

Reply:I use hoof boots but only when im out on the trail where i know theres rocks. My horses were tender footed when i first pulled there shoes off but i never gave them suppliments, give them a few weeks and there hoofs will get tougher. With your horse though shes still young so i would just keep her barefoot. Its the best thing to do for a horse. There are some suppliments to increase hoof growth im nto sure about making them not soft. I would just give her time to grow.
Reply:The hoove is like you re finger nail you leave you re hand in water for a long time what happens soft finger nails its the same with horses hooves. I would not start all the hoof boots and supplements quite yet let everything dry out a little you might be surprised how much harder the hoove will be if she isn't in a wet pasture
